On occasions you may want part or all of your viodeo shot somewhere other than your offices, your customer's site or our studio. We will discuss your requirements with you and then set about establishing a suitable location. This also entails getting permission and arranging for any permits, licensing and any special insurances that may on occasion be required. Of course vIT is fully insured to film in public, with our liability insurance covering us for £1,000,000. Keep in mind, though, that to film on the street you will usually require a licence, with parts of London being ridiculously expensive.
In the past we have arranged location shoots at a disused airfield, which involved getting access through an active airfield; a national nature reserve; an international sports stadium and a pub (our personal favourite).
One other aspect of filming in public that needs to be considered is if members of the public are identifiable. In such cases, a release form has to be signed by the individual.
